History
The school was officially opened on the 31st July 1901, soon after the opening of the railway to Epping in 1886. The first headmaster was John Charles Law and the initial enrolment was 81 pupils. By the end of that first year, the numbers had increased to 156 students. Epping Public School celebrated its centenary in 2001. The Parents and Citizens Association Association has been active in its support for the school since the early days. In 2008, our school's P&C celebrated 100 years. In the year 2000, the school received the Director-General’s School Achievement Award for its Fundamental Movement Skills Program. Epping Public School is a major feeder school to Epping Boys High School and Cheltenham Girls High School.
